High-altitude destination (11,000 ft and above). Day 1 kept relaxed for acclimatisation. Oxygen cylinder carried in vehicle. Alcohol discouraged in the first 48 hours. Inform us in advance of any medical conditions (asthma, heart conditions, high BP). Itinerary subject to change due to weather or road conditions — BRO clearance dependent. Balance due 15 days before trip. Minimum 8 people to confirm.

How do I reserve a spot?
Find a trip you like, click Save my spot, fill in the form, pay the advance via UPI or bank transfer, upload your payment screenshot, and submit. We confirm within 24 hours.
What happens after I register?
You'll get a confirmation email within 24 hours once we've verified your payment. If a trip fills up before we process yours, we'll reach out directly on WhatsApp regarding your refund.
When is the full payment due?
The due date can vary by trip. Check the payment summary on the relevant trip page; we will also include it in your booking communication and send a reminder.
What payment methods do you accept?
UPI or bank transfer. The current payment instructions are shown securely during booking and included in your registration communication. Never send money using details copied from an unofficial message or social account.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancellation terms can vary by trip and timing. Please check our current cancellation policy for the applicable refund terms and contact us in writing if you need to cancel.
Is solo travel experience required?
Not at all. Many people on STT trips are doing their first solo or first group trip. You're not expected to know anything — just show up.
Are these trips safe for solo women?
Yes. Many of our travelers are solo women. We keep groups mixed, brief everyone on conduct, and Zahra personally vets every route. Message us if you have specific concerns — we'll answer honestly.
What if you cancel the trip?
If we cancel a departure, you can choose a full refund of everything paid, including the booking advance, or an equal-value credit for a future trip. Independent travel arrangements are not covered.
Is this trip suitable for first-time visitors to Ladakh?
Absolutely. The itinerary is designed with acclimatisation in mind, with the first two days in and around Leh before we start ascending further. You don’t need prior high-altitude experience, but basic fitness, patience and the ability to adapt to mountain conditions are important.
How difficult is the trip, and how much time will we spend on the road?
This is a high-altitude road trip, not a trekking trip. There are no strenuous treks, but expect several long driving days, rough patches and changing road conditions. The reward is getting to places like Turtuk, Thang, Hanle and Tso Moriri that most shorter Ladakh itineraries don’t reach.
What kind of accommodation can I expect?
We’ll stay in a mix of hotels, camps and local homestays across the route. Since we’re travelling through remote regions with limited infrastructure, room configurations may vary between double, triple and occasional quad sharing. Expect clean, comfortable stays with simple mountain hospitality rather than luxury.
What happens if weather or road conditions affect the itinerary?
Ladakh’s weather and mountain roads can be unpredictable. Routes towards places like Hanle, Tso Moriri and the high passes may have rough sections, water crossings or temporary closures. If conditions make a route unsafe, we’ll modify the itinerary accordingly while keeping the overall experience and key highlights intact.
How do I prepare for the altitude?
Acclimatisation is one of the most important parts of this trip. Day 1 is intentionally kept relaxed, and we ascend gradually. An emergency oxygen cylinder will be carried with the vehicle, but it is not a substitute for acclimatisation or medical care. Stay well hydrated, avoid alcohol during the first 48 hours, and speak to your doctor before booking if you have any pre-existing medical concerns.
